Surfshark is a VPN service founded in 2018 and based in the Netherlands. It has published independent no-logs audits and an infrastructure audit by SecuRing (January 2026), and is part of the Nord Security group (operated independently of NordVPN). Its clients are open-source and its no-logs policy has been tested in court (it has had no logs to hand over to legal requests). It is owned by Kape Technologies. Its software stack is open-source and has passed repeated independent security audits; it uses anonymous account numbers, requires no email, and charges a flat monthly rate.
